Amy

Centre Manager

Kia Ora. My name is Amy. I graduated with a Bachelor in Education (Teaching) in Early Childhood Education in 2012. I am originally from Auckland, growing up in Meadowbank. As an early childhood teacher, I believe children are competent and capable explorers who have the ability to make their own decisions and take control of their own learning. My role is therefore to support, facilitate and work alongside children in creating opportunities for them to explore their interests and desires and discover what it means to be a true life long learner. This is ultimately achieved by establishing positive relationships with children and their whanau/families. I am very excited to get to know all the children, families and teachers of Greenlane Childcare.

Megan

Joint Team Leader

Kia Ora I’m Megan. I have been working at Greenlane Childcare since 2017. I graduated in March 2021 with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my life, I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. When I was little, I would always play schools. I would spend hours sitting all my teddy bears down and would pretend that I was their teacher. I have strong connections with the Deaf community as I have two deaf parents. Using and supporting New Zealand Sign Language is an important aspect of my teaching practice.

Chloe

Joint Team Leader

Kia Ora, my name is Chloe. I graduated with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2010 back in Korea. I believe that children have their own potential power which means they are capable creative learners. Sometimes they can be a teacher, scientist, artist or actor/actress in their own play. As teachers we must respect and help children to learn freely from the opportunity of their own play. All children have infinite and tremendous potential and as a teacher we have the responsibility to protect and help them explore their potential by building good relationships with the children. I have a lovely son who is thriving at Greenlane Childcare. I love to watch him grow and develop throughout the day. I am looking forward to meeting new children and their families.

Meile

Early Childcare Educator

Kia ora! I’m Meile, a registered teacher with a curious mind who enjoys connecting with people from different cultures. I’ve studied Education in Italy, and New Zealand, and I speak Italian, English, and Mandarin fluently. Traveling to more than ten countries has broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for diversity.

I believe that every child holds incredible potential, and my role as a facilitator is to nurture and inspire this potential through responsive and intentional teaching. I strive to walk alongside each child and their whānau, creating meaningful learning experiences that support their growth in all areas of development.

Watching children take each step in their learning journey fills me with joy, and being part of their most formative first five years is both an honor and incredibly rewarding. Seeing their curiosity, resilience, and confidence grow reminds me every day why I love what I do. Outside of teaching, I enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, and playing the guitar, bringing music, movement, and joy into my teaching whenever I can.

I look forward to meeting you at Greenlane Childcare Centre and being part of your child’s growing and learning journey!

Hi, I am Morgan and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I moved to New Zealand in 2010. I am a mum of three children, one boy and twin girls, who all attend Greenlane Childcare. I am a qualified and registered teacher and I am very passionate about working with young children and began my teaching journey back in 2016. I view children as capable and competent learners and really value teaching children independence. I think it is important to create a safe and inclusive environment so children feel confident to be themselves and are able to grow to their full potential. I also value close and trusting relationships with both children and their whānau and believe it is important to work alongside parents and whānau in order to provide the right care for their children. I am excited to be apart of the Greenlane Childcare whānau and look forward to working alongside you and being a part of your child’s learning journey.

Imogen

Educator / Teacher Assistant

Kia ora, my name is Imogen and I have been working at Greenlane Childcare since 2017. As a young child I adored babies, and once at High School we were able to explore work experience in an area of interest and I chose Early Childhood. I was fortunate to attend S.P.A.C.E (Supporting Parents as Children’s Educators) and attended Early Childhood sessions at various Play Centres. I also enjoyed a number of babysitting jobs right up to present! After attending Unitec for 2 years obtaining Foundation Levels 1 and 2 and Communications my focus was still pursuing the Early Childhood arena. I was therefore blessed to be employed by Greenlane Childcare which quickly became an extension of my whanau and homelife. The staff have been there forever, are deeply respectful of each other and of the children. So much shared laughter, encouragement and energy to allow children to be safe, nurturing curiosity in a rich learning environment. I have developed such a strong sense of belonging and going to work is always joyful!
